Electronic Technician Supervisor
Location: Houston, TX
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electronic Technician Supervisor to lead a dynamic team of 4-7 technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires a proactive leader who excels at prioritizing workflows, fostering process improvement, and delivering exceptional results while supporting a culture of teamwork and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage daily operations, approve timecards, and build a motivated, high-performing team. Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to ensure individual and team growth.
- Workflow Management: Strategize, estimate, and prioritize job flows (FIFO) to meet customer demand with high quality and timely delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion process enhancements using Kaizen principles and Lean Manufacturing to improve quality, reduce cycle times, and optimize responsiveness.
- Technical Oversight: Oversee diagnosis, repair, and testing of gas detection equipment, ensuring compliance with SOPs and quality standards.
- KPI Management: Meet and report key performance indicators related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity while maintaining a clean, organized (5S) work environment.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with leadership and other departments to align policies, resolve operational issues, and achieve company objectives.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Experience:
- 5+ years in electronic manufacturing or related operations.
- 1+ year of supervisory experience managing teams and approving timecards.
- Leadership Skills:
- Leads by example, fosters collaboration, and holds team accountable to high standards.
- Able to have tough conversations and motivate the team toward shared goals.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proven ability to prioritize workflows and forecast costs effectively.
- Familiarity with Kaizen principles and Lean Manufacturing.
- Character Traits:
- Humble and willing to learn from the team they lead.
- A driven, hands-on leader with a commitment to process excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in electronics or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in repairing PCBs to IPC Class III standards and knowledge of connected devices (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS).
- Familiarity with Oracle eBS, Salesforce, and advanced troubleshooting equipment.
